Tale of The Almost Extinct Ancient Animals: The Living Dinosaurs White Sturgeon

I still can't believe that there are actually so many creatures that i don't know exist in this planet, earth. the same goes to this animal i am about to share and discuss with you all, the creature that lived from way back in the dinosaurs era, the almost extinct ancient animal, the white sturgeon. I have always liked Jakub Vagner, the extreme angler from Czech Republic, he is best known for his television series Fish Warrior, shown on National Geographic Channel. And it was this television series when i first saw this living dinosaur, the white sturgeon. They are literally magnificent, they said this creature mostly lived their life in the ocean, that they only come to the freshwater to spawn, they used to come and spawn a lot more often than today, it is said they come more rarely but spawned more eggs each time, everyone hopes that could balance the changes, but the truth is far below all's expectation, they are now on the brink of extinction, what's more sad is that it is not easy to find a full grown up white sturgeon, because it will need decades for a sturgeon to reach its maximum physical appearance, which is about 20-feet.

The white sturgeon is the largest freshwater fish in North America and is the third largest species of sturgeon, after the Beluga and the Kaluga. The white sturgeon is known to reach a maximum size of 816 kg (1,799 lb) and 6.1 m (20 ft).

The white sturgeon lives on the bottom of slow-moving rivers, bays, and estuarine areas, including the brackish water at the mouths of large rivers. Other sturgeon will spend most of its time in a marine environment, only coming into rivers to spawn. They are well-adapted to finding food drifting by with their excellent sense of smell and taste. When there is an insufficient food supply, sturgeon have been known to move into shallow water to eat freshwater clams.

During the spawning season, the white sturgeon moves to clean, fast-moving areas of rivers, such as just below rapids, with gravel or larger rocks along the bottom.

The largest sturgeon caught on record was caught on Fraser River, in British Columbia, and weighed an estimated 1,100 pounds (498.9 kg) and measured 12 feet, 4 inches (3.75 m). The sturgeon was caught by Michael Snell of Salisbury, England, and it was not long ago too, it was on July of this year.

How would you feel if you could actually help them from extinction? Would you do it? It's so easy, for all of you who is moved to contribute in helping this almost extinct ancient animal, the white sturgeon which is also a living dinosaurs, just click this link, Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society. Through that society you could even adopt a sturgeon,  isn't that great? I will not lie to you, i have not adopted them myself, but i am sure planning to adopt the white sturgeon as soon as i could in the future, i really wanted to help, but considering my situation now, it can't be help, but i have not give up, i will work harder until i could have at least one of this almost extinct ancient animal, from the dinosaurs era, the white sturgeon of course.
